This Privacy Policy explains how Filter & Finish (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses and shares personal information through this website, our online store for commercial and professional filtration purchasing. It covers browsing the store, creating an account, placing an order, contacting us and using chat.
Your use of the site is also governed by our Conditions of Use.
Information We Collect
We collect what you give us through the site’s forms and chat, and some information automatically as you browse.
- Account. To register, you give your first and last name, email address and a password, and optionally your company name and street address, and you choose whether to receive our newsletter. To sign in, you enter your email address and password.
- Orders. At checkout, you give your name, email address, phone number and billing address, a shipping address if it is different, and optionally a company name and fax number. We also record the products you order and the shipping option you choose. Card and bank details are covered in section 05.
- Contact form. Your first and last name, email address and message, and optionally your phone number, company and the topic of your question.
- Chat. The messages you send through the chat window on our pages, and anything you include in them.
- Newsletter. Your email address, if you sign up in the Newsletter box at the bottom of our pages.
- Email a friend. Your email address, your friend’s email address and an optional message, if you use the Email a friend button on a product page.
- Form entries recorded by HubSpot. HubSpot’s form-capture feature is switched on for our site. When a form on the site that includes an email address is submitted, such as the registration, sign-in or Email a friend form, HubSpot may record what was entered. HubSpot’s code skips password and payment-card fields.
- Collected automatically. When you visit, your browser sends standard information, such as your IP address and browser type, to our store and to the services that load on our pages (section 03). Through HubSpot, we also collect the pages you view (including the words you search for), the buttons you click, the page that referred you, and browser and device details such as screen size and language, linked to HubSpot’s visitor cookies (section 04).
How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Process, invoice and deliver your orders. Orders placed on the site are recorded in SAP Business One, the system we use to run orders and accounting.
- Calculate the sales tax on your order.
- Show shipping rates at checkout and ship your order.
- Take payment for your order.
- Run your account and send the emails you ask for or that relate to your account or orders, such as a welcome message, a password reset or an Email a friend message.
- Answer your questions by chat, email, phone or the contact form.
- Send our newsletter, if you sign up.
- Keep a record of your inquiries and form submissions in HubSpot, and understand how visitors use the site.
- Keep the site and its forms secure and protect them from spam and automated abuse.

Providers whose content loads in your browser — HubSpot, Google, Cloudflare and, at the payment step, Authorize.net — also receive the standard information your browser sends, such as your IP address.

- reCAPTCHA also keeps an item named
_grecaptchain your browser’s local storage on the pages where it runs. - The social-media links on our pages, such as those to our LinkedIn and Facebook pages and the share buttons on product pages, are plain links. Nothing loads from those sites unless you click one, and their own privacy policies apply once you do.
Payments and Security
- Card and bank-account (ACH) payments are processed by Authorize.net. You enter those details into Authorize.net’s own payment form, which loads from Authorize.net’s servers, so your card or account number goes to Authorize.net rather than to our store.
- Authorize.net returns a temporary payment token, which our store uses in place of your card or account number to complete the payment.
- Our site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, and requests made over plain HTTP are redirected to HTTPS.
Your Choices and Requests
- Access, correction and deletion. To ask what personal information we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it, email sales@filters4u.com or call 877-768-7587.
- Newsletter. To stop receiving our newsletter, enter your email address in the Newsletter box at the bottom of any page, choose Unsubscribe and select Send.
- Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the store’s own cookies, the cart, sign-in and checkout may not work.
No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Our site does not run advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking tags.
Children
The site is intended for commercial and professional purchasing and is not directed to children. Our Conditions of Use require users to be at least 18 years old.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when the services our site uses change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
